MY STORY: You all know I loved clarins instant light comfort lip oil, it was the first product of its kind that I had used & compared to the gunky stickier lip glosses I had been used to, it was a revelation.
I was keen to try other oils & along came this novelty looking juicy shaker. Don’t be put off from its almost toy like packaging, it is actually a seriously good product.
The shaker itself annoys me a little as I like to whip out a lip balm & put it on with minimal effort & the fun of shaking this wore off quickly for me.
That said, the oils themselves have such a light moisturising texture they are a joy to use. The fat sponge applicator feels nice on the lips and deposits a good amount of product. The oil is smoothing & as it dries you’re left with a beautiful natural pigment.
I wouldn’t retouch darker shades without a mirror as you can quite quickly unintentionally build up the intensity if you re-apply the product throughout the day.
There are 13 shades to choose from, the darker berry colours are my favourite, I use them over a lip liner for a natural looking plump lip.
I love these a little more than clarins lip oil because not only are they adorable to look at & incredibly fragranced they are even less sticky. Though this gives it less staying power, the overall smoothness with build-able pigment makes them a winner.
AIM: Utimate lip gloss with a bi phased formula pairing nourishing lip oils with beautiful pigments for plump but natural looking, glossy lips.
Sweet almond oil, omega 3 & cranberry oil.
HOW I USE IT:
Shake well, blot on to lips. Build up pigment as desired. Use as a moisturising alternative to lipgloss.
PROS: light on lips, not sticky, smell amazing, leaves a pretty stain, build able pigmentation, good for everyday natural looks. Lovely sponge applicator.
CONS: takes a while to get the sponge saturated with product, shaking it can get annoying. Shades can look quite similar due to sheerness.
