Benefit high beam: £19.50 13ml
MeMeMe moonbeam: £7.20 12ml

Anyone who loves glowy skin will also love a good highlighter, I have been obsessed since the age of 18 when I discovered it at B never too busy to be beautiful (Lush’s sister store which has sadly closed down). High beam was also one of the earlier highlighters around in my early university days before they became so widely used. Since then highlighters have conquered the beauty world & as a result cheaper alternatives have become readily available.

In particular I found MeMeMe (available online) highlighter in moonbeam is an exact dupe for high beam. Both have a silvery pale pink glow & give a lovely luminosity to the skin.
Both are liquid highlighters, the benefit one is thicker and creamier. I find it slightly harder to work with as it doesn’t blend out as easily. The pigmentation is the same and both blend out to look exactly the same.

I haven’t repurchased high beam again since finding this dupe.

How I used them:
1. Apply on top of a liquid/cream base but under powder.
2. Apply to high point of cheek bones centre of forehead, cupid’s bow, or wherever you like to highlight.
3. Blend out by patting with finger or beauty blender. Do not rub in as will remove base products.

Pros: MeMeMe is cheaper, more runny and easier to blend out. Benefit give slightly more product in nicer packaging.

Cons: MeMeMe lid packaging can peel leaving black dry paint in your makeup bag.

Dupe rating: 4.5/5
